Road Trip

Do you find yourself most often shooting photographs that you set out to capture? Or do you often come across something of interest, unexpectedly, camera in hand, and come away with great images?

These images are from a church in one of the older districts of Alamosa, Colorado and are very much a product of the latter of these two philosophies, I was just looking for a good cup of coffee!

  1. I try very hard to incorporate both philosophies. I love that Sam Abell will look for hours for the right scene, take more time to set it up and get the right composition, then sit for hours waiting for the right moment to trip the shutter. I occasionally try a lesser version of this, as I don’t always have that much time to dedicate to one photo! And of course the serendipitous moments are womderful! Nice church series, good use of light and shadows.Did you find that cup of coffee?
