In travels, I would say that one can almost count on rain. Be it a steady drizzle or turbulent downpour -Streets, cafes, and cantinas are an ideal place to shoot. Find some shelter, buy a beer and set up for a good shot. The results will prove more interesting than your average sunny day! Enjoy the weather.
Rachel began her Spanish language courses today at Casa Rosaria and I set out into the streets of San Pedro to find the local tempo…here is a selection of images from earlier today…street photography…creating photographs and relationships as I go, this is where every smile, every gesture and most of my Spanish skills come into play on a level that is equal to that of technical camera know how.
This, I think sums up much of what photojournalism entails in a foreign landscape…putting yourself out there, communicating, and above all showing respect. A sincere interest in your subject matter, combined with a curious personality, can open your lens to plenty of opportunities….
Enjoy the images… Ciao, Jeremy
