PhotoShelter: Lesotho Photo Archive Launched.

In conjunction with publishing the Mountain Kingdom photo essay as part of IMPACT: An Online Exhibition, I was able to sort and edit film images from over two years spent living and working amongst the Basotho people. The photographs uploaded thus far are taken from my film/slide archive and have largely been unseen, unpublished before now.

In time I will expand the archive to include digital images from a return trip to Lesotho in 2007.

Please take a moment to visit the PhotoShelter gallery titled LESOTHO right HERE.

Enjoy the photographs….Jeremy

PhotoShelter: An Image Archive Takes Shape.

Photograph © Jeremy Wade Shockley. All Rights Reserved.

The company PhotoShelter has been on the up and up since the fall of Digital Railroad in 2008. The company has expanded it’s features and market simultaneously over the last twelve months and proves to be an attractive and affordable option to self market stock photography. The basic photoshelter site offers online storage, printing services and for some the template of a website ideal for most photographers looking to market their collections to a worldwide audience.

I have recently made the investment in both time and money to bring my images to PhotoShelter and thus create the beginnings of Fedora Photo’s latest online site. will remain as my main website and portfolio, while FedoraProjects will continue to post the latest in news and photography. What I hope to achieve with a PhotoShelter archive is to make my personal work available to editors, friends, and potential clients, while also safe guarding and organizing a massive digital archive currently unavailable to the public market.

Time and energy will define the progress of this site, as each file must be carefully captioned, keyworded, and sized. The basic structure is set, and will continue to develop in the coming months! I hope you enjoy the site, and I welcome any and all feedback right here on FedoraProjects or via email.

Cheers, Jeremy

End of the Line for Digital Railroad.

Photograph © Jeremy Wade Shockley 2008. All Rights Reserved.

For many in the photography industry this is already old news, but for others who occasionally frequent my “Stock Archive” it might come as a surprise to know it is officially no more. Over the last two years I have had the opportunity to market my stock photography on Digital Railroad, a company that seemed to be on the up and up, until a recent and unexpected shutdown signaled the end of the line for the Railroad. This site not only served to market my work, but also provided online storage and viewing for over six thousand images! Fear not, they are backed up, perhaps a bit unorganized, but secure none-the-less.

I hope to be able to have many of those images back online in the near future for both editors and friends to view and access. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. The immediate solution has not presented it’s self…but the ideas are rolling! Stay tuned…

Wishing all the best! Cheers, Jeremy
