Tom Curley, president and chief executive officer of The Associated Press, spoke during the Capitol Hill Luncheon on Friday during the Colorado Press Association’s 132nd Annual Convention.

Curley emphasized AP’s role in new media. Under his leadership, AP is moving rapidly to capture the growing audience for digital and video news. A first milestone was the creation of a multimedia database that allows all AP content to be searched by AP journalists and customers alike.

The 2010 CPA Annual Convention graced Colorado’s historic Brown Palace Hotel.
